When I write product reviews telling you about the gear I bring on trips, I’ll include links in the articles which can earn me a small percentage of the sale at no additional cost to you. This is a great way to support blogs that you read by giving the writer a “tip” for pointing you to that product. By providing honest reviews I help readers figure out what the benefits or potential issues are with particular products such as boots, clothing or backpacks. Any pages containing affiliate links will be clearly labeled and have a disclaimer in the article.

Another way I fund my writing is by running advertisements on the site. These ads promote products that you might be interested in based on the things you are reading and searching, such as my website.

Occasionally I will team up with a business or regional tourism board to write an honest review of that destination. Again, these are honest reviews about my experience traveling in that region and staying at hotels or tourist attractions.
